Thomas L Walker is a former Santa Rosa Fire Inspector for 32 years (65-98), past president of The Sonoma County Fire Chiefs Association (1982), as well as spending over 14 years on the board of the Lake County Fire Protection District (2012).
Thomas was an active member of the Active 20-30 Club of Santa Rosa #50. Having served in many roles, such as the 1st Vice President (Spring 1983), 2nd Vice President (Spring 1981) and on the Board of Directors (Fall 1981).
He also served as a chairman of the successful 1982 Northern California Nevada Area Convention at Konocti Harbor Inn in Lake County. Thomas received the “Outstanding Service Award” (81-82) and on September 14, 1985, he was given the highest honor within the club of “Past Active Life” Member status.
Thomas has always been very active in the community. When the Sonoma County Community Blood Bank held a blood drive in 1982, Thomas donated around 6 gallons of his own blood (in various trips, of course). He was honored with a proclamation from the City of Santa Rosa in helping prevent arson and was also seen as a hero for saving Weaver the Cat’s life from a burning building.
