James C. “Jim” Monroe passed away at his home, Tuesday, November 21, 2006.
Survived by his beloved wife, Judy Monroe of Santa Rosa, his loving children, Christopher Monroe of Sonoma, Tracy Monroe Allen and her husband Scott Allen of Sonoma, Karen Treece of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Ryan Monroe of Santa Barbara; his stepchildren, Dominic and his wife Mary Franchetti of Foster City and Jason Franchetti of Santa Rosa. Grandfather of Michael O’Conner and Jeffery, Jennifer and Jessica Treece.
Jim was born in Lawrence, Kansas and moved to Sonoma County in 1962. He practiced law in Sonoma County for 41 years and loved the challenge!
A member of the California Bar Association, Past President of the Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club and the Active 20-30 Club of Santa Rosa #50.
Jim was a Navy Corpman with the Marines and served during the Korean Conflict.
Jim was an avid sports fan, he loved the San Francisco 49er’s, golf, basketball and football.
