Grant Newton Bridges, retired dentist Grant Newton Bridges of King City died Thursday, Dec 10, 1992 at George L. Mec Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was 86.
A native of Cloverdale, Mr. Bridges lived in King City for 47 years. He was a dentist for 50 years before his retirement. He was a graduate of San Jose High School and of the dental school at University of California, San Francisco, in 1929.
He was a lifetime member of the American Dental Association and of the Monterey County Denial Society. He w as a member of the Scottish Rite, American Legion, King City Rotary. Masonic Lodge No. 1206 Santa Lucia and King City Bible Church. He was past commander of an American Legion and past president of the King City Rotary Club.
Mr. Bridges is survived by his wife, Roberta “Chris” Bridges of King City: his son, Michael E. Bridges of Camarillo; three daughters. Patricia A. Cruz of Madera, Christy Mae Giacomazi of East Wenatchee, Wash., and Nancy Bridges Logan of Hailey. Ind.; his sister, Violet Laine of Sunnyvale; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Whitehurst Grim Funeral Service in King City. Funeral services will be at II a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary chapel. Cremation will be private.
